What was the situation?
KW is unemployed and volunteers for several groups including a young survivor group. He wanted to do more qualifications to progress but was unable to fund any courses himself.
What was the intervention?
As part of our education programme we offered him the opportunity to do a Level 2 Forest School Assistant Course.
What was the outcome?
KW completed the course and is now helping to deliver sessions in schools in order to gain experience. He plans to work with young survivors to help develop their self esteem and confidence through delivering outdoor learning or Forest school sessions.
