What was the situation?
CM came to The Angel because he was struggling with his eating and had been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. He liked to have KFC or McDonalds several times a week. He was doing some weight lifting exercises at home and use to go to the gym.
What was the intervention?
He met with our 121 dietician who explained how to eat in a healthy way for his Diabetes. We created a nutrition plan according to his lifestyle and discussed his favourite and least favourite foods so the plan was sustainable.
We gave him information on how eating healthy is effective in improving health conditions, weight management and many others issues.
We used the Eatwell Guide to help him get a balance of a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle. We prepared a meal structure according to his life style. Explained to him how to measure his food with his hand.
He was advised to do cardio or weights and to try to increase his activity, start back at the gym again or take a walk 20-30 minutes daily.
What was the outcome?
He has lost 7.4kg to date and has reduced his BMI by 32.1
He has started going to the gym 3-4 times a week and is now confident about his self-image.
When we finished the program, he was confident about how to be healthy in his food choices and make moderations to his meals.
