Garden Needs · A project of Social adVentures
Woodland Wellbeing.
Forest-school skills applied to adults of all ages and backgrounds — guided walks with foraging, shelter-making, tree ID and nature navigation in parks and woodland near you.
What it is
Skills that stay with you — for any green space near home.
We’ve taken the learnings from our forest school programme for children and applied them to adults of every age and background. A qualified forest school leader guides the group on a walk at a local park or woodland, incorporating forest school skills along the way.
Participants find that combining a walk with an activity helps them easily connect with nature, reduce thoughts of worry or anxiety and pick up skills they can use in green spaces close to home.

What you’ll try
Six things a walk can include.
- Nature navigation
- Foraging
- Identifying invasive species for conservation
- Shelter making
- Tree identification
- Woodland weeding & wetland exploration
