Exciting job opportunities in resdiential childcare team. Join a team experienced in making change for the good of the people we work with
Residential Children’s Home Manager, Salford
Are you looking to make a change? Do you want to make a difference and to have a real influence in a new and exciting venture to deliver high quality, not for profit residential children’s care?
You will get:
• Lots of support (internal and external supervision)
• Enhanced training package around your interests including personal training budget
• The ability to build your own team around you
• The freedom (and trust) to lead and grow the provision
This is a new home, newly refurbished to a high standard with a real homely feel. It’s a 4 bed EBD provision with a large garden space and modern fixtures. You will be key in making decisions on furnishings and resources for the home.
You will either be an existing Residential Home Manager or a deputy ready to step up. You may have done the role in the past and be ready to come back to work with a provder like us who is changing the way residential care is delivered.
At Social adVentures we do things a little differently. We believe in people not profit and, in delivering services because we really care about making a difference. We are looking for someone with a passion for making a difference to children’s lives.
We are employee owned, ambitious and proud. Our staff teams are at the centre of what we do and are empowered to take ownership to lead and to develop.
Social adVentures is a social enterprise – any surplus we make goes back into the services we provide – meaning we do not compromise on quality. Originally part of the NHS, we established ourselves as an independent third sector organisation in 2010 and have been thriving ever since! We deliver health and care services across Greater Manchester including social prescribing, public health contracts, mental health programmes, early years childcare, youth clubs, forest schools and much more. We specialize in providing person centred services that are high in quality and care.
So why children’s residential? Over the last 12 months we have been involved in some Greater Manchester level work to look at how residential childcare can be done differently.
We found that not for profit organisations are in the vast minority when it comes to residential childcare. We believe that profit should not be made from these sorts of care based services and that money should go back into improving the services for the children and supporting our fantastic staff teams.
So after a lot of planning, we are now ready to open our first home, we have a property and now we need you to help us get ready to open and then to run the home.
This is a really exciting opportunity to join the Social adVentures team as we embark on a new project to open a Children’s Home in Tameside.
So what do we need from you?
